Greetings Programs

Welcome to Inside My Brain. Using a couple of demented and dedicated writers, this is a place where we discuss all topics and nothing is taboo. We shine a well deserved light on the Iowa music and preforming arts scene. We then have another that is either politically retarded or a sheer genius. Another a pet expert. Quite the variety... which is good living, Sign up and start helping us make this page into a well informed stop on the internet tour bus.

When Americans Take a Stand?

Admittedly, for the past 3 or 4 weeks I haven’t been paying much attention. Between domestic and work issues it becomes laborious to read every news clip available and most news programs are a bit tainted and subjective. What I have had is friends and family delivering tidbits here and there and this forces me to research it. I have to… it’s in my nature. I’m the dog that never catches the car.

Journalism - The Dying Art of Communication

Journalism. It was my one true dream as a child… to be able to write and inform the public of events that occurred in their very own backyards without the slightest inclination that any of these humble or conversely, horrifying stories told could be about your neighbor, your friend, your mate. The twist was implied but not revealed. It was left to the reader to interpret… not like now, not these days.

The Freedom of Ignorant Banter

The winter and spring months typically bore the living hell out of me. They start out with numerous projects and activities that can be accomplished without leaving the house but eventually the dedication subsides and boredom sets in. For me, this is not a good idea at all.

This past winter I took it upon myself to conduct an incredibly unscientific experiment. My goal was to focus on political discussions that take place on various message boards and blog spheres across the internet and see if there was any possible way to come to something close to a consensus as far as any topic was concerned. After registering at all of the sites under false credentials (except for one) and sticking with it for several months, my intention was to try to use a few different arguing techniques to sway others to my side.

Cable TV

I wrote this some time ago but just watched the same special and thought I'd pitch this back into the crap factory. Enjoy!

This writer's work might not be appropriate for young children therefor this article is rated PG-13 by the writers mother.
